RYSE Commons secures financing to break ground this summer!

RYSE is excited to share that we’ve closed with Opportunity Fund’s New Markets Tax Credits program, in partnership with Raza Development Fund, Community Vision, and U.S. Bancorp Community Development Corporation, an $11 MM loan to finance our  RYSE Commons

RYSE has become my safe haven, for once I am not met with laughter when I speak my truth or speak my vision. Here, I am encouraged to aim high, not only in my personal dreams but also in my fight for social change.

Rysing from Center to Commons, RYSE is deepening roots and raising up a new structure to better hold and amplify youth voice, vision and creativity. RYSE Commons will be a 37,000 sq. ft., campus for healing, liberation, organizing, leadership, play, creative expression, incubating ideas, performances, art, youth enterprises, technology, education, and expanded community partnerships.

We’re thankful to all of our partners and donors whose investments and work have helped us reach this pivotal milestone:

The California Endowment
Contra Costa County
Dean & Margaret Lesher Foundation
William & Flora Hewlett Foundation
Hellman Foundation
