Safety Approach
RYSE is committed to the safety of our members, staff, and community. This includes preventing and mitigating exposure and spread of COVID-19. With a substantial and sustained decrease in COVID transmission rates as of November 6th 2023, as well as with the Federal and State Emergency Orders ending earlier this year, we are lifting the mask mandate at RYSE for members, visitors, and now staff. Weekly testing, daily screening, and all other protocols remain in place. Masking is encouraged and supported.
No longer Required
●Starting November 6th, masking is no longer required for staff
●Starting May 15, 2023 RYSE will no longer require members, staff and visitors to wear masks while on campus.
● As of June 24th 2024, wearing a mask will be recommended and still available upon request at the front desk.
Continued Safety Practices
● Vaccination+booster requirement for RYSE staff.
● Weekly rapid testing for RYSE staff.
● Daily COVID Health screening for all members, staff & visitors.
● Keep masks and tests onsite, for as needed/requested.
● Maintain our protocols for positive exposures which includes contact tracing and onsite rapid testing.
● If/when RYSE members and their families are impacted by COVID, RYSE is available to offer and coordinate supports.
● RYSE is cleaned and sanitized every night.
● Require new members to complete a Member COVID Agreement (guardian signature required for members 13-17 years old).
● Ensure all COVID safety protocols are thoroughly reviewed by both public health officials and epidemiologists.
We will also start...
● Encouraging and recommending masking for members, staff and visitors.
● Posting signage and reminders that we have masks and tests available.
RYSE keeps up to date on COVID conditions and guidance by Contra Costa Health Services, CA Department of Public Health, Occupational Health and Safety Administration, World Health Organization, as well as agencies focused on health and racial justice (such as the Peoples CDC, Do No Harm Coalition and Human Impact Partners). As information and conditions change with COVID-19, protocols may be adjusted as well. We will do our best to share any changes in a timely manner, but this may not always be possible. Adjustments may take place the day of the program or event. It is expected that members and visitors will adhere to the direction and guidance given by RYSE staff.
With the safety of staff and visitors as our top priority, we’ll continue using the county’s guidance to inform our decisions and communicate regularly as our coronavirus policies evolve.
