8th Annual Night Out for Safety & Liberation

On Tuesday August 5th, join RYSE in reclaiming safety and looking beyond fear, punishment, policing, and incarceration. This is a community multigenerational event that we’ve hosted for the last 7 years.

Night Out for Safety & Liberation was founded in 2013 by the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, and their model inspired communities across the country to host events of our own.

Night Out for Safety & Liberation is the night when people across the country come together to reimagine what #SafetyIs: dignity, opportunity and freedom for our communities. As the country begins to re-open, we are planning in-person, socially distanced events where our communities can unite and heal each other from the harm too many of us experience at the hands of law enforcement.
