Trauma and Healing Learning Series LAUNCH

Trauma is historical, structural, political, intergenerational, interpersonal, and embodied.

So then must be our healing.

WHAT: Our 4th Annual Trauma and Healing Learning Series will build on learnings and impacts of previous years to assert and ensure racial justice as central tenet of trauma-informed approaches. At this Launch, we will share our framework of atmospheric trauma and healing and its application in personal, organizational, and collective praxis.

The Trauma and Healing Learning Series is designed to present and consider the impact of multiple forms of trauma and oppression on our growing young people, their families, and communities in order to build shared language and commitment to collective practice, mutual accountability, and support in implementing and sustaining healing-centered, racially just approaches and practices.

WHEN: October 20th, 2017 at 10 AM - 2 PM

WHERE: RYSE Center, 205 41st Street, Richmond, CA 94805

WHO: The Learning Series is geared toward those in the public health, social services, community-based programs, education, public systems and agencies, philanthropy, research, and stakeholders serving Richmond and West Contra Costa. NOTE: Multiple staff from one agency or program are welcome, with a limit of 3. We are more than happy to arrange a time outside of the Series to come and present at your program if interested.

TICKETS: This event is FREE. RYSE Center appreciates any donations. Now in its 4th year, the Series' events continue to engage our communities in collective learning, shared commitment, and healing-centered practices to best serve our young people and families.
